Testimony

 

    

         I was born and brought up in a good Christian family.  My father and mother, both of them were employed in the Survey Department of Kerala State.  My father was from Christian background whereas my mother was from non-Christian background.  Though my mother didn't know much about Lord Jesus Christ, she was very much interested in rearing her children (I, younger sister and younger brother) in good Christian background.  With such desire and motivation, my mother used to take us (myself, younger sister and younger brother) to Sunday school and Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Mateer Memorial Church, Thiruvananthapuram.  I came to know much about Lord Jesus Christ in V.B.S teachings and I gave my heart and life to Lord Jesus Christ in one such occasion.  Afterwards, every year during V.B.S I used to renew my fellowship with Jesus Christ and desire to live for him slowly got increased.

During my younger age, after this experience (personnel commitment to Jesus) I used to see dreams in which I saw myself doing the ministry of Jesus in the midst of tribulation.  Though these dreams were very much touching, I did not know what it means for me.  By Lord's grace I went through graduation and post graduation courses.  After completing my M.Phil. Studies, as per Lord's will I was united with Dr.C.Thankamony in my matrimonial life.  My partner is the one who was born and brought up in a non-Christian background, having a secular job.  In the midst of his secular job he was doing Lord's ministry by preaching His gospel in churches and public meetings.  Though I was from urban background (born and brought in Trivandrum city) my husband was from remote village background.  When I got married, there was even no electricity in our house.  But Gracious Lord Jesus Christ was more than enough for me even at that occasion. Halleluiah!  In the midst of ever so many sufferings and affliction, Blessed Lord comforted us with two children who are our Lord granted gifts. Halleluiah!

After my marriage I used to attend gospel meetings as and when, where my husband was preaching the word of Lord.  Slowly and steadily, Lord got hold of me through His Holy scripture and the desire to grow in Jesus increased more and more.  As the days and months went on those scriptures slowly and steadily changed my life, and the relationship between me and Jesus started growing. Halleluiah!

As things were moving like this, miraculously Lord healed some of my chronic ailments for which doctors suggested and prescribed medicines life long.  Even in one occasion literally Lord Jesus Christ rescued me from the edges of collapse. Halleluiah! May the name of our Holy Lord Jesus be glorified! Halleluiah!  All these incidents and testimonies are pointed towards Jesus Christ's concern, care and purpose regarding my life.


Further desire to grow in Lord intensified.  Holy Spirit placed this desire in my heart graciously.  I used to spend time in prayer which has become wonderful experience.  Holy Spirit also enabled me to sing songs for Jesus' glory in Good News Meetings and prayer meetings.

As days went on, I was urged by the word of Lord to be filled with Holy Spirit.  I kept on praying for this grace to be granted by Jesus for few years.  Finally, Lord who answers our prayer heard my simple cry and out of His Compassion Graciously filled me with His Holy Spirit on 2009 July 26  at an Anointing Service organized by Love and Compassion Ministries (L.C.M), where my husband, Dr.C.Thankamony preached the word of Lord and rendered prayers. Lord Jesus Christ touched my tongue with His fire on 2nd August 2009 at the Blessing Meet, which is being conducted first Sunday of every month by L.C.M. Next day i.e. on 3rd August, Holy Lord again granted His grace abundantly with the gifts of speaking in tongues in the Women's fellowship prayer of L.C.M. Halleluiah!  Afterwards the way through which Lord leads me is wonderful and each and every step I could see and feel Lord's presence His will and His deed in my life. Halleluiah!

Every time Jesus speaks to me that He wants me as His dearest daughter. On the third day of the fasting prayer organized by L.C.M i.e. on 16th January 2011, He selected me wholly as His own and I have surrendered completely and absolutely in the hands of Jesus for His will to be fulfilled in my life. Halleluiah!

May our Gracious Lord bless you through this simple testimony and His Holy Name  alone be Glorified!
