KEEP THINE WORDS

But(Jesus )he said, Yea rather, blessed  are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.           (Luke 11:28)
Welcome you dear one in this message section.  Lord’s spirit is waiting to bless you through Lord’s word which shall stand for ever(Is 40:8). Halleluiah!
The above said scripture (Luke 11:28) says, that the one who keep Lord’s word is more blessed (according to Tamil version). Halleluiah!  Who spoke this verse?  When this word was spoken?
Our Beloved Lord Jesus’ Christ, while He was in this world, in flesh and blood (Heb2:14,1o:5) He was went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).  While doing so, people marveled at Him not only by His deeds but also by His verses (Luke 4:36, 22).  He was narrating about the evil spirits in Luke 11th chapter.  By hearing His narration unable to control the joy and ecstasy suddenly one woman from the crowd lifted up her voice, and said unto him, blessed in the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou has sucked. (Luke 11:27).  In response to her admiration Jesus replied, “Yea, blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it”.
Dear one it is one of the deep touching reply of Jesus.  Absolutely no doubt that( St Mary ) the womb that bare Jesus and the paps which thou has sucked is blessed.  Everyone recognizes and acknowledges this blessing all over the world. It is a well known and established fact that the blessings inherited by  St Mary is unique and no other human can think of that marvelous Grace. But Jesus Christ gone one step forward and deep to say that those who hear the word of God and keep it are rather (more) blessed than the one who bare Him. Halleluiah!
Here you could read the utmost importance Jesus has accorded to His verses or scripture or commandments or statutes etc.
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: (Pro 3:1)
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. (Pro 4: 20, 21)
Lord’s word has got two most important but different implications in any one’s life who engulfs it with thirst.
A. Distil as the dew
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: (Deut 32:2)
Here you see Lord’s word when it comes to a person’s life it will bring smoothening, enjoyable, healing, rejoicing effect. Halleluiah!
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. (Jer 15:16)
That’s what exactly happened to the people who thronged to hear Jesus with thirst. (Luke 5:1, 15; 15:1; Math15:32)
B.As a fire
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer  that breaketh the rock in pieces?  (Jer 23:29)
Next His word is like fire. Halleluiah! It has got fiery presence and effect in Lord’s children’s life.
Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But  his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not  stay. (Jer 20:9)
Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. (Jer 5:14)
Both these effects are  inevitable  in any believer’s life.  We can’t reject one or chose other.  Why this effect in Lord’s word?  It has got life.  Halleluiah!
 The word that I(Jesus) speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. (John 6:63)
For the word of God  is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and  is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.(Heb4:12)
Dear brothers and sisters, when you keep Lord’s word in your heart and life you could always enjoy and experience the above said blessed effects in your life, which is must and inevitable for your sound, spiritual life and growth. Halleluiah!
In addition to this, with the help and guidance of Holy Spirit, I would like  to enumerate few more following blessings which you could inherit in this world provided if you keep Lord’s word.
1.Heals You
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Ps 107:20)
Healing comes through Lord’s word.  Ever so many people all over the world got healed in their spirit, soul and body while they read, meditate, heard and kept Lord’s word.  You can also.(Rev1:3,22:7) Halleluiah!
2.Comfort
Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.                This  is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. (Ps 119:49, 50)
While you keep God’s word it will provide comfort and consolation, When you pass through the valley of tears and agony. Ever so many persons and servants of Lord who experienced supernatural blessing at the edge of their life through the Word.  Dear one you could also be comforted even now. Halleluiah!
3.Cleanse your way
Where withal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed  thereto according to thy word.With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
(Ps 119:9, 11)
If you keep God’s word in your life, which in turn cleanse and keep you as pure in this world, which is polluted and corrupted by lust, sin, wickedness, iniquities, unrighteousness, etc.
4.Lamp and light
Thy word  is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Ps 119:105)
In this crooked, dark and perverse world Lord’s word which is in you will guide you to walk in the correct righteous and perfect but narrow way which is Lord’s. Halleluiah!
5.Keep you from temptations
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.   (Rev 3:10)
Almighty Lord, Himself assures that He will keep those who keep this word from the hour of temptations, which shall come upon all the world. Halleluiah!
Dear child of Lord, beside the above said blessings  there are ever so many hundreds of blessings which you will come upon your life only by means of keeping His word in your life. In addition to all these when you enter into Heaven You shall see Jesus inviting “Come you the more Blessed”. what a ecstasy in Heaven!
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. (Col 3:16)
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: (Deut 6:6)
