JESUS' COMPASSION UNTO WICKED
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Is 55:7)
Greetings are to you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who always loves you(1 John4:8,16). Halleluiah!
In the above said scripture we read the mind of Almighty Lord regarding the wicked people. Normally in our society the wicked people shall be hated and rejected by others. Whenever a wicked person dies in any place, there the people will be relieved off from fear and pain. Of course this is the view of the world. But where as our Gracious Lord sees the life of wicked people in other way.
Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? (Eze 33:11)
Why Lord declares such decree? The reason is very well quoted in Ezekiel, Chapter 18.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Eze 18:4)
Yes, brothers and sisters all soul belong to our Lord, whether he is a wicked, atheist, sinner, believer, saint etc. all soul were Lord's own and He Himself created (Is 57:16, Gen 2:7). That's why He looks them in a different angle. Halleluiah!
Many people used to say like this, "Wicked are flourishing like any thing". In short under the scanner of the scripture, the life of a wicked person is very pathetic. It is also contrast to our eyes. How the scripture does narrate and exposes the life of a wicked person? Now let us briefly see the life of a wicked person, in the light of Lord's scripture.
[There is] no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked. [Is48:2,57:21]
The wicked man travaileth with pain all [his] days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor. (Job 15:20)
The curse of the LORD [is] in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. (Pro 3:33)
The way of the wicked [is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. (Pro 4:19)
The LORD [is] far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
(Pro 15:29)
Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes. (Ps 119:155)
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. (Pro 10:27)
For there shall be no reward to the evil [man]; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. (Pro 24:20)
The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
(Pro 13:9, (24:20))
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. (Job 18:5)
The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. (Ps 9:17)
Though the wicked people are far away from Lord, running their life all the day in a peace less and afflicted manner through the path of darkness towards their final destination of Hell, Almighty Lord is eagerly waiting for their repentance with a compassionate heart ready to forgive all their wicked deeds. Halleluiah! Who will comprehend His compassion?
This marvelous compassion of Almighty Lord could be seen in the Cross of Calvary where Lord Jesus was in the peak of His agony and excruciating pain. He was hanging on the Cross. On either side there were two other thieves hanging in their respecter cross. Joining with crowds these two thieves also criticized and ridiculed Jesus (Math 27:14). As the time went on one particular thief looked and pleaded, "Oh Lord! Remember me when you come in thine Kingdom" (Luke 23:42). The cry that proceeded from the mouth of this particular thief must be touching the heart of Jesus and even in the midst of excruciating unbearable pain and agony Lord Jesus Christ moved with compassion and replied, "Today you shall be with me in Paradise". (Luke 23:43) Halleluiah!
To substantiate this again in this present world, I would like to enumerate another testimony happened in the dark forest area of Jammu & Kashmir of India. Years ago there lived a saint called Sadhu Kisan Singh, who always used to preach the Gospel to the remote people of the deep forest area. Once, while he was doing His master's work, he encountered a notorious criminal person called as Devi Singh. He was responsible for the moulding of ever so many notorious criminals like Man Singh, Ramba Singh, Carnal Singh, Jagath Singh etc. In the encounter Kisan Singh challenged Devi Singh by showing the Bible, if you place your hand upon This Bible you shall be healed from your paralysis (then Devi Singh was suffering from paralytic stroke). You should believe the truth, or otherwise you can shot me to death. Unable to reject the challenge came from a saint, Devi Singh with great reluctance and fear placed his hand upon the Bible and within fraction of second he was healed. Halleluiah! With greater surprise and shock he moved his hands and body, walked here and there, run here and there with shout and joy. Before the eyes of other robbers, Devi Singh repented unto Jesus and confessed all his sin and wicked deeds. He striped off all his garments from his body and decided to surrender. Halleluiah!
Dear brothers and sisters, what a marvelous testimony it is! The compassionate power of Jesus is so great and powerful that it can change any wicked person of any caliber. Halleluiah! Will not it be an eye opener for you? Yes it is.
For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.) (II Cor 6:2)
